The Town Council have seven Committees
and each have their own responsibilities:
Car
Parks and Traffic - managing and
maintaining the Egloshayle, Jubilee and Library Car
Parks
Communications - ensuring good
communication with the residents of Wadebridge.
Finance
and General Purposes - managing the Council finances
and budgets.
Parks and
Cemeteries - managing and maintaining leisure
facilities, grass cutting and burial ground
Planning – consultee on all planning
applications made to Cornwall Council within the parish.
Staffing - dealing with all staff
issues.
Town Hall - managing and maintaining our
property
In addition to the formal Committees, the
Council has the option to form Committees and Working
Groups. Each Committee has it's own Terms and
Conditions and has the power to make certain decisions as laid out
in the terms and conditions. Working Groups have no power to make
decisions, but consider the relevant matters in detail and make
recommendations to the Council or Committees where appropriate.
Working Parties are more informal than Committee and often co-opt
people from outside the Council.
