JUBILEE PLAY AREA - PARTIALLY CLOSED
You may have noticed that a large amount of the play equipment at Jubilee Play Area has recently been removed.
The existing equipment had reached the end of its usable life and, following safety assessments, we took the difficult decision to remove the affected equipment rather than risk the safety of children using it.
The play area is therefore partially closed, with the remaining safe equipment still available for use.
We know how important Jubilee Play Area has been to generations of local families, and we completely understand how disappointing it is to see much of the equipment removed.
Looking ahead:
But this isn't the end for Jubilee Play Area.
Wadebridge Town Council is working hard to raise the funding needed to create an exciting new, fully inclusive play area here at Jubilee Fields.
Our ambition is to create a play space where children and young people of all ages and abilities can play together, with accessibility and inclusion at the heart of its design.
The proposed new play area will include a range of inclusive and accessible equipment, sensory play opportunities and features designed to allow as many children as possible to enjoy the space together.
How you can help?
We are actively pursuing grants, external funding, sponsorship and support from local businesses and organisations, alongside community fundraising, to help make this project a reality.
There will soon be opportunities for everyone in our community to get involved and support the project, whether through donating, fundraising, sharing our campaign or simply helping us spread the word.
Please keep an eye on Wadebridge Town Council's website and social media pages for fundraising updates and details of how you can support us.

Thank you for your patience and support.
The old equipment may be disappearing, but our ambition for Jubilee Fields is bigger than ever.
Together, we can create a play area where every child belongs and every child can play.
