Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our Fireworks in Public Spaces Questionnaire.

The questionnaire ran from Friday 16 August 2024 to Friday 13 September 2024.  468 responses were received.   From these 468 responses 354 were from a Wadebridge Parishioner, 80 from non-Wadebridge Parishioners and the remaining balance of 34 respondents not identifying as either.

Questionnaire responses were gathered via an online survey and paper survey located in the Town Hall and Wadebridge Library.  Questions were structured regarding the role that the Town Council has in Fireworks events in town.  The Town Council funds the New Years Eve fireworks event in town.

The Town Council permits Firework Displays to take place on Town Council Land for Wadebridge Carnival and the Chamber of Commerce (late night shopping).  These events are funded by the aforementioned organisations.

The Fireworks Display held at the Rugby Club is an event held and funded by the rugby club.  The Town Council is the landlord for the Rugby Club and the land at the rugby club is Town Council land.  Hence the inclusion in the survey of reference to this event.

There are no responses shown for Question 16 due to the number of comments received.  There are no responses shown to Question 18 as this was in relation to postcodes.

The Council will carefully consider the responses and views received.  The item will be on the Agenda for Full Council in December 2024 for further consideration and decision by the Council.
