Wadebridge Town Council can only act within the law by exercising their powers and functions, which have been conferred on them by Statues (i.e. Acts of Parliament.)

Wadebridge Town Council and Cornwall Council are responsible for different functions as shown below.

• Footpath and verges maintained under contract.
• Grants and support to local organisations.
• Maintenance of Egloshayle Playing Fields, Coronation Park, and the Cemetery.
• Management of Jubilee, and Egoshayle Car Parks.
• Management of the Town Hall and Egoshayle Pavilion (providing space for concerts, plays, functions, community events, weddings, office space, and exercise, craft, and dance classes.)
• Planning and Local Authority consultations.
• Provision, and maintenance of Children’s play areas.
• Provision, cleaning, and maintenance of public conveniences of the Platt and at Egoshalye Playing Fields.
• Town Council events management.
• Allotments
• War Memorial.
• Cemetery as burial authority.
