Water supply at Egloshayle Cemetery - REMINDER
- Details
We would like to begin by offering our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped organise and took part in the Remembrance Parade on Sunday 9 November 2025. It was truly wonderful to see so many members of our community come together to honour the Fallen and pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
As we continue our commemorations, the Act of Remembrance will take place outside the Town Hall on Tuesday 11 November 2025 at 11:00am. An air raid siren will sound to mark the start of the two-minute silence, followed by the all clear. This moment of reflection allows us all to pause, remember, and give thanks to those who served in times of conflict and to those who continue to serve today.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports these acts of remembrance each year, ensuring that the courage and sacrifice of past generations are never forgotten.
We look forward to another successful and united Remembrance Parade in 2026.

📣 Car Park Charges – Update from Wadebridge Town Council
We would like to inform residents and visitors that the new car park charges will come into effect from Tuesday 5th August.
The delay in implementation was due to the required consultation period, during which we welcomed your feedback. All comments and concerns submitted have been carefully considered and discussed by the Council. If you emailed us during the consultation, you will receive a personal reply in due course – thank you for taking the time to share your views.
This is the first increase in parking charges since 2009, and even with this adjustment, our car parks remain cheaper than others in the town. The revised charges are necessary to ensure the ongoing maintenance and operation of the car parks.
From consultation responses received we have listened and will seek to amend the charging periods in Egloshayle Car Park but that will not be possible on 5 August due to the legal process to be followed. We will however ensure the charging periods are revised as soon as possible.
The signage in all our car parks will reflect the new charges applicable from 5 August.
Please contact the Town Clerk if you have any further queries:

Wadebridge Town Council would like to inform parishioners that an original component of the town’s historic tower clock, dating back to the 1800s, has recently developed a fault and now requires repair.
This part is not something that can be purchased "off the shelf" due to its age and unique design. However, even if replacement parts were commercially available, the Council is committed to taking a conservation-first approach. This means we aim to preserve the original craftsmanship, materials, and historical integrity of the clock wherever possible.
Specialist horologists (clockmakers) will be involved in carefully repairing or recreating the component in a manner that is sympathetic to the clock’s heritage. We understand the clock is an important symbol in the town’s history and appreciate your support as we work to preserve it for future generations.
Thank you for your understanding and continued pride in Wadebridge’s heritage.

🌿🚐 We’re Going Green! 🚐🌿
We’re excited to share that our Town Council work van has been replaced and it’s now fully electric! ⚡️💚
This change is part of our commitment to a greener, more sustainable future for our community. By switching to an electric vehicle, we’re helping to reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, and take another step towards protecting our environment for generations to come. 🌎✨
Electric vehicles are not only eco-friendly, but they’re also quieter, cleaner, and more cost-effective to run, meaning we can keep delivering great services while being kinder to our planet. 🌱
This is just one of the ways we’re working hard to make our town cleaner, greener, and more forward-thinking. 🚀
