Wadebridge Library are celebrating the Women of the World Festival. Our display shows some women, past and present, who helped change the world and paved the way for women of today and girls and women of the future.

Women of the World is a global movement celebrating women and girls, taking a frank look at the obstacles they face.

Our library staff yesterday got involved with World Book Day - It’s all about getting kids closer to the books and authors they already love, and letting them discover more books and authors they’ll love every bit as much in the future.

World Book Day is a registered charity on a mission to give every child and young person a book of their own. It’s also a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading.
