The Town Council are delighted to announce that work to build our Skatepark will begin next week (w/c 29 July 2019). The planning process has delayed our original start date, but we have been working with Cornwall Council, the Environment Agency and our contractor Canvas Spaces to bring this long awaited skatepark to life. We are still working on a few aspects of the plan but as these do not impact on the skatepark design and build itself we can now get started.

We are aiming to document the skatepark build so if anyone has any photos they wish to share with us along the way please send them to the Town Clerk at townclerk@wadebridge-tc.gov.uk. In sending us your photos you are permitting these to be used by the Town Council.

The closure's are to support the Wadebridge Carnival, the Carnival parade begins at 7pm.

Cornwall Council is undertaking a Community Governance Review for the whole of Cornwall. They are in the early stages of this review, which will run through the next year.

This review may consider parish boundaries, the number of seats and warding arrangements for local councils and their names. It provides an opportunity for all local councils, communities and individuals to review and propose changes to these arrangements at parish level to ensure that they are reflective of the identity and interest of your local communities and work as efficiently and effectively as possible.

The leaflet above provides an introduction to the purpose and process of the Community Governance Review. It is designed to be of use throughout the review process and summarises information already available on the Cornwall Council website www.cornwall.gov.uk/governancereview and signposts people to that site for further information.

If you have any queries about this review, please email CGRs@cornwall.gov.uk or contact your local Community Link Officer in the first instance. Alternatively, you can call 0300 123 1115.

Wadebridge Town Council are extremely disappointed to see yet another piece park equipment was damaged at some point during yesterday evening.

The popular piece of equipment itself was only renewed around 5 months ago, at a cost of approx. £800.

This is unacceptable and only spoils it for other users, visitors and the Parks team who work tirelessly to ensure everything is kept to a high standard.
